Editorial and Fact-Checking Policy

How the articles and guides on this website are written, where their figures come from, how they are checked and how we correct them.

In short

Our articles are general information for foreigners who invest, buy property or live in Turkey. They are drafted and translated with software tools, including AI writing tools, from a fact sheet of dated official sources, and automated checks test each article against it before publication. Gordion Partners is an investment advisory company, not a law firm or tax adviser. Errors are corrected when they are reported, and rule changes are dated in our rules changelog.

Who is responsible for our articles

The articles and guides on this website are published by Gordion Partners, an investment advisory company in Istanbul, under the editorial responsibility of its founder, Burak Ünal, Founder & Managing Partner. He holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and advises foreign investors on Turkish citizenship by investment, residence permits and property. He is named as the author of our articles.

How our articles are written

Our articles and their translations are drafted with software tools, including AI writing tools, working from our fact sheet of dated, sourced rules. Before an article is published, automated checks test it against that fact sheet and our wording rules: for example, that its key figures are in the fact sheet, that it links official sources and that it makes no promise or claim our rules exclude.

The English version of an article goes live once these checks pass. The translations into the nine other languages of this website are written from the English article only after Burak Ünal has approved it, and they pass the same automated checks before they are published.

No lawyer, tax adviser or other outside expert reviews an article before it is published. This is one more reason why our articles are general information and not advice for your own case.

Our service pages are also drafted with software tools, including AI writing tools, and use the same fact sheet. Where no official text is published, a rule is stated only if Burak Ünal has confirmed it from current practice, and the rules changelog labels it that way.

Where our facts come from

Legal and immigration figures, such as amounts, holding periods, dates and conditions, come from official sources wherever one is published: the Official Gazette (Resmî Gazete), the legislation database mevzuat.gov.tr, and the ministries and public bodies that apply the rules, such as the land registry (TKGM), the Presidency of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi), the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Each figure is recorded in our fact sheet with its source and the date it was checked. The key facts on our service pages link to their official source where one is published, and the facts about your home country on our nationality pages come from official sources, each with the date it was checked; where none could be checked, the page tells you to confirm the point with your home authorities.

Where we found no official text, we say so. The rules changelog labels every rule change as confirmed (an official source states it), supported (several reputable secondary sources agree), reported but not confirmed, or confirmed by Gordion Partners from current practice. A rule that is only reported is not stated as fact.

How we state figures

  • Amounts are given as the legal minimum with the date it took effect, for example USD 400,000 for citizenship by real estate investment since 13 June 2022.
  • Processing times are typical ranges from current practice, never promises: citizenship by investment usually takes 8 to 12 months end to end, and no timeframe can be guaranteed.
  • Amounts that change often, such as the minimum wage, are named rather than given as a fixed lira figure.
  • Figures carry the month they apply to, such as "as of October 2026", because rules change.
  • We do not promise approvals, outcomes, returns or price rises: property prices and exchange rates can rise or fall.

Tax and legal information

Gordion Partners is an investment advisory company. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice, and it is not a tax adviser, accountant or CPA. Tax points in our articles are general information, so that you know what to ask. For your own situation, ask a licensed accountant (mali müşavir) or tax adviser, and for legal questions an independent lawyer.

What we are and what we are not

Gordion Partners gives investment advisory, citizenship by investment advisory and immigration advisory. It is not a real estate brokerage, and it does not list, market or sell property. The project pages on this website inform potential clients about projects in Turkey; they are not listings of Gordion Partners. Where a client needs real estate brokerage, it is provided by Burak Ünal, a registered real estate broker, through his own brokerage, not by Gordion Partners; the details are on his profile. Yacht brokerage is also provided by him personally.

Corrections and updates

  • If you find an error, please tell us: write to contact@investment.com.tr, send a WhatsApp message to +90 533 140 04 96 or use our contact page. We check the point against the official source and correct the page if it is wrong.
  • An article that we change shows the date of its last update next to its publication date.
  • When a rule changes, we update the pages that state it and add a dated entry with its source to the rules changelog. We review the rules when the Official Gazette publishes a change that affects our clients.
  • In October 2026 we checked our older articles against the fact sheet and corrected outdated figures, for example the citizenship minimum, which has been USD 400,000 since 13 June 2022.

Why we publish

We publish these articles to explain Turkish rules to foreign investors and residents in their own language, and to show how we work. They are general information, not advice for your own situation. For advice on your case, book a consultation: it is given in all ten languages of this website.
