Work permit application is submitted by the employer in Turkey. The foreigners cannot apply to Turkish work visa or work permit on their own without a sponsoring company.
Firstly, foreigners need to have a valid residence permit to apply for Turkish work permit directly in Turkey. If foreigners doesn’t have a valid residecne permit, then he needs to back to his country and apply for work permit reference number at the Turkish Embassy.
The employer is going to apply to the online system of Ministry of Labor (ecalismaizni) and use that work visa reference number or Turkish Residence Permit ID number of the foreigner. The employer needs to submit all company documents and also the diploma of the foreigner. They need to explain why they employ a foreigner instead of a Turkish citizen.
The Ministry of Labor will evaluate the work permit application. It can be rejected, it can be approved or additional documents might be requested by the Ministry of Labor. Usually the Turkish work permit application is approved if all the missing documents are completed in the future.
After the application is approved, foreigner will go to the Turkish embassy to get the sticker Turkish Work Visa on his passport. Then, the foreigner can come to Turkey with that sticker visa. The employer will pay the work permit tax and start the social security (SGK) for the foreigner. The work permit card will be printed and be delivered to the office of the employer by PTT.
